It always seems like Brookie finds something new to do whether it be laughing, making funny sounds or making funny faces, but she will usually only do it for about 2 days then it's on to the next thing. A few weeks ago when I had her laying on the floor she randomly pulled this face over and over. I know it looks kinda scary in this picture but it was sooo funny!

On May 7th my hansom husband turned 26! Instead of finding someone to watch Brooklyn or haul her around somewhere we decided to get chinese takeout and later his family came over for cake and ice cream. I try and make him a cool cake each year (football, hamburger, golf bag), but this year I decided to keep it simple and made him a simple but delicious homemade chocolate chip cake, complete with awesome blue writing :)
A few days later he went to Mesquite on a golf trip with his friend and his friends dad, brother-in-law and a few of their friends. He had a fun time and enjoyed the HOT weather.
then...on May 11th I celebrated my 25th birthday. Brett left for Mesquite on my birthday (I know, he's passionate about his golf!...but don't feel bad) so we celebrated with just the 3 of us on the 10th by getting takeout again, this time from Chili's. We're really loving the whole take out thing. How can you beat eating dinner with hardly any clean up in your comfy pj's while watching "The Office"! Then on my birthday my family took me and Brooklyn out to dinner and my mom made me a delicious cake. The next day me, my mom, and Brook went to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens for the day. It was such a nice day, which I was so thankful for and the flowers were beautiful!
Happy birthday to both of you! I really should get take out more often...I love the idea of watching the office and my pajamas! And that picture is so pretty with all those flowers!! Makes me wish summer would come to stay!!!

ReplyDeleteYeah, Max had surgery :(. Not a big deal, he had a mucocele in his mouth since he was like 2 weeks old. it's a blocked salivary duct and it creates this blister thing in his mouth. It doesn't go away either so I figured I better get it out before he gets teeth! It's been sad to see him in pain but we've been drugging him trying to keep him happy, haha!
