5 Months

Today our little pumpkin is 5 months old!

Dear Brooklyn:

We can't believe we have had you in our family for 5 months now. It seems like yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital (I know we keep saying that, but it's so true.) You are getting to be so fun as you are learning to grab your toys and toes and hands (you love to eat your hands) and mom and daddy's faces. Your starting to put anything you can get a hold of in your mouth. You love to kick your legs...you like laying on your tummy more even though it always pushes a burp (and sometimes spit up) out...you rolled over on your own once, but can't quite seem to get the momentum to do it again. You are a very good sleeper, you go to bed around 7 and wake up around 7:30 or 8, and right now if you always had it your way you'd be up for only an hour and then down for a nap. We wish we had more time during the day to play with you, but mommy is enjoying being able to still get things done while you are napping. Your little world is getting a little bigger now, we moved to a new house and have gone on a few walks in our new neighborhood and you love them! You love playing with your Grandma and Grandpa and Papa and Nana, they've even gotten you to laugh a few times. Your daddy and I feel so blessed to have you as our daughter and we thank our Heavenly Father for you everyday.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

There's something about kids that make smaller holiday's exciting again. Even though she has no idea it was St. Patrick's Day I sure had fun dressing her in green. I even went as far as making Corned Beef for dinner. I can't wait till she gets a little older and I can color her scrambled eggs green or hide her easter basket for easter or play tooth fairy...oh so many fun things to look forward too!

Happy Anniversary to Us

Five years ago (on March 3rd, not March 4th) I married my best friend! During these 5 years we have traveled, worked, gone to school, lived in a basement apartment, bought a house (and remodeled it), bought a newer and slightly bigger house (as of yesterday), got two dogs and have managed to keep them alive for almost 4 years, became a mommy and daddy, and have even gotten in a few small arguments, but threw these past 5 years I have fallen more in love with my best friend than I ever thought possible. I love you Brett and I am so glad that I get to spend eternity with you!

4 Months

Our sweet little girl is now 4 months old!! We love every second with her...watching her grow, making her smile, listening to her giggle, and kissing her chubby little cheeks!

She weighs 11lbs 7oz (10th percentile)

Is 23.5 inches long (25th)

Has a head cir. of 39 cm (3rd)

(still just a little peanut as Nana would call her )

She holds her head up well enough to be able to start eating some cereal (the doc said)...

She's a thumb sucker...

She's tolerating laying on her tummy a little better...

She looks more like her dad...

...and not so much like her mom (until she smiles). :)

She loves facing outward so she can see whats going on.

She's learned how to make more noises and even laughs sometimes.

Notice how she has a bib or a burp cloth with her in almost every picture, we may have gotten a good sleeper, but we also got a big spitter upper. So, instead of changing her clothes five times a day we keep bibs on her at all times.
