Today our little pumpkin is 5 months old!
Dear Brooklyn:
We can't believe we have had you in our family for 5 months now. It seems like yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital (I know we keep saying that, but it's so true.) You are getting to be so fun as you are learning to grab your toys and toes and hands (you love to eat your hands) and mom and daddy's faces. Your starting to put anything you can get a hold of in your mouth. You love to kick your legs...you like laying on your tummy more even though it always pushes a burp (and sometimes spit up) out...you rolled over on your own once, but can't quite seem to get the momentum to do it again. You are a very good sleeper, you go to bed around 7 and wake up around 7:30 or 8, and right now if you always had it your way you'd be up for only an hour and then down for a nap. We wish we had more time during the day to play with you, but mommy is enjoying being able to still get things done while you are napping. Your little world is getting a little bigger now, we moved to a new house and have gone on a few walks in our new neighborhood and you love them! You love playing with your Grandma and Grandpa and Papa and Nana, they've even gotten you to laugh a few times. Your daddy and I feel so blessed to have you as our daughter and we thank our Heavenly Father for you everyday.

She's getting so big!! I love reading that, she and Max are about the same when it comes to things they do! Max rolled over for the first time and I didn't even see it!! I put him on his back on a blanket, walked out of the room and came back to find him on his stomach!! He's kinda done it a few more times but I'm sad I missed it. How do you keep her up between naps? Max gets tired again after an hour too (or at least fussy) and it's so hard to keep him up and entertained until the next nap time. I just need to come to you house again so we can talk!! ReplyDeleteAmy...I will usually put her down when she starts to get fussy and sometimes a little before cause she goes to sleep better if I lay her in her crib when she's still happy. She gets soo awnry if I try and keep her awake, unless we're out doing something then she'll stay awake a little longer. I have no idea how she can sleep so much. And YES please come over so we can talk!
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable. Crazy how fast they grow. Kaleb is already sitting up wanting to play with Jett's toys...BUGS JETT AND IT IS FUNNY!!!! I hate growing babies. I swear we just had them yesterday. Kaleb is already 6 months and Brookie (I told you I would call her that!) is already 5 :( We need to get together soon!!!!!
