My Poor Baby

Brooklyln has had it rough lately, being the perfect height to run into tables and handles and knobs can't be easy. Right now she has a forehead full of bruises :( And to make it worse when your trying to master a bunch of new skills at once, ie. climbing, running, carrying lots of toys/books, injury is bound to happen. Yesterday she was getting books down from her book shelf and slipped on one of them and hit the bridge of her nose on the front of the shelf, ouch!! note to self: take pictures so that when she grows up we can show her that she wasn't always so graceful And...she has two molars coming in!! Needless to say last night was a rough night, she was crying uncontrolably either because her nose hurt or her gums hurt or both. I felt so horrible I just wanted to hold her and comfort her and rock her. She eventually fell asleep in my arms after exhausting herself from crying.
Today was another rough day, off and on, I was afraid that her nose between her eyes was going to have a big bruise since she both hit and scraped it, but when she woke up it really didn't look as bad as I thought it would. She was fine until she woke up early from her nap. She had another episode of uncontroable crying while grabbing her bottom gums in pain. After I got her settleled down and gave her some Ibuprofen she was so cute dancing to the music on Brett's phone and full of hugs.
One thing that I am really loving about her right now along with a MILLION other things are the random times when I am holding her and she lays her head on my shoulder like in the grocery store or tonight when I was holding her while making dinner cause she wouldn't let me put her down. This may not sound so special to some, but it only took her 15 months to do this!! :)

  2. I'm so sorry!! That is NOT fun. Goodness, Claire ALWAYS has a bump, bruise, or cut on her poor head. But that sounds rough!

  3. My sweet Jetterbug began being clumsy at the same age and it lasted until nearly three. He fell all the time and never put his hands out, just faced planted it. He looked like a creature from star-trek most of two years, haha! Kaleb hasn't had any too bad accidents thus far...only bruises his mean older brother gives him :) Poor Brookie.
