It was Brooklyn's first time on a plane and she did SO good! She didn't sleep at all on our journey except for an hour on the plane dang stuartist made me put her seat belt on while she was laying down sleeping, which woke her up then right after I got it on they turned the seat belt sign off! I was a very angry mama! So after a fun dinner at the Mexican restaurant we went right up to bed.
The next couple of days were spent swimming in the pool, playing sand and pool volleyball, doing water aerobics, eating yummy food, and relaxing in the warm sun! We had awesome weather everyday. The last day was overcast which was okay, because it was still warm.
On Wednesday we celebrated my dad's 52nd birthday. This is a horrible picture but it's the only one we got of the mariachi band singing Happy Birthday to him. They had a bunch of these bands all over and Brooklyn couldn't help but get up and dance and clap to their music. She instantly became everyone's entertainment.
Brett took Brooklyn swimming in the ocean and she did not like it! Not sure why, but at least we can say she's swam in the ocean :)
That night we were offered to go stay at one of the other Oasis Resorts in Cancun closer to the airport if we wanted, so we packed up our stuff and took a taxi to Cancun. I had never been to actual Cancun city...totally different from the Riviera Maya, which is where we had been staying and where we stayed on our last trip. It felt more like Vegas. I didn't love it as much because it was so big, but it was really nice and it was right off the ocean and had a beautiful beach as well. We got there late so we had dinner at a Brazillian steak place and went to bed.
Friday was overcast and was a great day for shopping so we took a bus to the city and found some flea markets. We got some vanilla, Brett got a shirt and my family got some souveniers.
Later that night my parents took Brooklyn to dinner with them and me, Wes, and Brett had a nice quiet dinner.
After dinner we met up with my parents and walked around the resort and found this guy who painted these amazing pictures with spray paint. And enjoyed our last night of warm weather.
