Fun Weekend

Last weekend was a good weekend all around! On Friday after Brooklyn got home from pre-school her Aunt Taylor came to pick her up and took her to her SIL's family cabin near Lava Hot Springs until Sunday night. Taylor also has a nephew just a little older than Brooklyn and another niece that just turned 2 and she said that Brooklyn had a blast with them. They played on the big slide, watched movies, played games, and ate yummy food. She LOVES Taylor and was so so excited to spend the weekend with her!
After Brooklyn left Brett, Stetson, and I went to the fruit stand and picked out some pumpkins then went to Smith & Edwards to get a few more things that Brett needed to take hunting. He was really bummed that all the spike tags sold out the night before he went to get one, but we decided it would be good for him to get out and enjoy the beautiful area with some friends who were good hunters so he could learn a few things about hunting big game since he hasn't done it much. He had a good time! He said that the nights were a bit cold, but they had a nice canvas tent with a stove in it to keep them warm. They didn't see many spike elk, but saw a few huge bulls.
While they were both gone Stetson and I went to the Crepery in Logan with some friends on Friday night, then on Saturday my mom came over and we canned apples and apple pie filling and listened to General Conference. Then later we went and did a little shopping and went to dinner. On Sunday morning Brett's parents invited the two of us over for a delicious breakfast. I put Stetson down for a nap there and watched the first Sunday session. Then we went home and chilled, watched the second session, played outside, finished some crafts, and went for a walk. Brooklyn got home around 9:00. I was so excited to see her! She told me all about her trip then I put her to bed.
On Monday I dropped Stetson off at Mark & Jeanie's and they watched him while Brooklyn and I went to Garnder Village with my mom, Taylor, and her mom. It has been a tradition to go there in October for the last 4 years and this is the first year that I have brought Brooklyn. She was such a good girl and loved going in all the shops and looking st all the jewlry! Its so much fun to go when they have the Which fest and all the Halloween stuff out. We spent the day looking through all the shops, going to lunch, and stopping at Tai Pan on the way home. We were exhausted by the end of the day! Brett got home around 4:30 and picked up Stetson. They went home and unpacked and wash Brett's truck.

I love conference weekend and the opportunity we have to listen to the leaders of our church. I listened with a question in the back of my mind that I needed to have answered and I can say that it definitely got answered. I always come away being inspired and wanting to improve my life in many aspects. I love my family and extended family so much and am so grateful to have them in my life!
