Girls Weekend

I'm pretty sure I have the best friends. Once a year we go to Park City for the weekend to catch up, eat, shop, & talk. It was exactly the kind of get-a-way that I needed to get rejuvinated and be a better mom and wife!
We got there Friday night and those who arrived earlier went and got a pedicure (I missed that part, dang it!) We met up at Cafe Rio and got our food to go and went back to the condo so we could relax and talk while we ate. We of coarse talked till 2:30 in the morning and slept in until about 8:30. We talked some more, ate a yummy breakfast that we all brought something to contribute to then headed out shopping. We shopped till lunch then shopped some more until we were pooped! We went back to the condo to relax while we waited for some other girls that had come up later. We went to dinner at Sammy's Bistro then I headed home, cause Brett had to work in the moring. Some of the girls went home as well and some stayed over another night.

These are only some of the girls and some of the pictures that were taken. The funny thing was there were 4 girls who were nursing, so we had a freezer full of pumpted milk by the end of the trip and 3  that were pregnant. It was kind of nice not to be one of them, but next year I'm sure there will be a whole nother batch of pregnant and nursing mama's!

What Happened in April...

You know how it's always fun to run in to people you know while you are out, well it's even more fun when you run in to your husband and he asks if he can take you to lunch!
This picture was taken after her mean mom took a bite of her Oreo pizza...it's so hard to share something that is so good, even when it's with your mom! :)

We love to play outside on the driveway, Stetson still crawls so I try to keep pants and shoes on him so that he doesn't scrape his self up, but the shoes never last very long. Isn't he so hansom!!

My dear friend and I have been trying to plan a little get away for a long time. It started with the idea that we should fly to Mexico and stay at her parents beach house for a few days, then we were going to go somewhere warm but closer like Las Vegas or St. George, then we decied that we would miss our kids too much so we ended up staying two nights in Salt Lake and it was perfect! We didn't get to lay by the pool and chill like we were hoping to but we definitely got to relax and have a lot of fun.

This is us chillien in our hotel room.

The next day we drove around trying to find a hiking trail and couldn't ever find one (there has to be a million in SL, but we didn't know where to find them so we ended up walking around the trail just by This is The Place Park.

Later we went to the spa and got a heavenly massage, facial, and pedicure then went to City Creek to do some shopping and ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I, of course, asked our waiter to snap a pictue of us.

Before leaving the next morning we went to Music and the Spoken Word at the Tabernacle and walked around Temple Square. This trip was just what the doctor ordered and I feel so blessed to have such a good friend to do it with.

This is the second annual plant the magic jelly beans just before Easter and see what grows on Easter morning. Here she is planting her magic Starburst beans.

Little cuties at the Ward/neighborhood Easter egg hunt.

More little cuties checking out their easter goodies, well...his easter goodies. While everyone else was stuffing their face with chocolate eggs Brooklyn was saying "I don't want to eat them, I'm going to save them!" Love this girl (and boy)!

The Saturday before easter Grandma & Grandpa Miller had Brooklyn over to make some crafts. After Stetson's nap we went over and had an Easter egg hunt. Dad had to work :(

She was awesome at finding the eggs!

Thank you Jeanie for taking the cute pictures!

The Easter Bunny must have known that she liked to cook in her kitchen.

Later that day my family came over for dinner and another Easter egg hunt.
Love my dad and his sillyness. Stetson was intrigued with his new earings :)

We love our Granderdad!

and Grandma Corby

and uncle Chase and aunt Taylor

And that night our jelly beans finally grew into dum dums and bottle caps, amazing!

Stetosn had his first time in the hot tub and it's safe to say that he loved it! I think he loved that he could splash as much as he wanted and mom wouldn't tell him to stop.

Brooklyn still loves to hot tub snakey snakey (as she calls it)

While Brett was out of town we went with my family to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was insanly crowded and I thought that it was maybe because it was because it was a rainy rainy Saturday, but they said that they are like that every Saturday! UGH It was fun though and Brooklyn loved it. Personally one time was good enough for me.

While Brett was heading back from his golf trip in Mesquite they were going to stop and golf one more time in St. George before heading home. While he was in a parking lot there was a foot and a half cinderbloc curb that he thought ended before it didn't, well needless to say he ran in to/drove over it. He had to be towed to the car place and happily made it to the golf course just after they were getting done with the 3 hole. He waited till they called him back to tell him how long it would take to get the parts in and it wasn't until late the next morning. Everybody else headed home after golf and luckily he was able to stay at his Grandma's condo, but was SO ready to come home! He was really upset that it happened not only for his truck but he was missing his family (enter sweet sigh here) :) I told him that he should just try and enjoy his extended vacation so he slept in the next morning went for a hike/jog and by 4:30pm was on the road heading home. We were so happy to see him after being gone for almost a week.

He did have a lot of fun golfing though. This is a picture of one of the holes at what he thought was the prettiest golf courses.

Thank you for letting me share our April with you. Stay tuned for May!
